From Paper World to Tweet-land
Good morning, Monday!
The week has barely begun and there’s already two things to report.
report #1
I finally heard back from Mr. Agent who took The Natural Professional book proposal to the Frankfurt Book Fair. He reports back that it “created some interest among publishers”. Who knows. It’d be cool if it got picked up and it’s OK if it doesn’t.
I’m trusting the flow on this one. All I know is that I keep getting the feeling that the time is Ripe in the world for this work, so I’m going to keep chugging away.
report #2
Co-editor, tech stud, social media whiz Lance Brown who undercovers as a most unsuspecting but dang-effective cheerleader when desperately needed by yours truly. (Period? I realize that wasn’t actually a sentence but it was such a long phrase that I’m taking editorial creative liberties with it.)
(try again) Lance and I got together yesterday for a serious Social Media strategy session with a major emphasis on Twitter. Let’s just say I’m inspired.
I went from about 2 posts in the last month to about 5 in the last 18 hours. The trick is sticking with it…
You know how in movies a character will have some crazy awesome epiphany, usually near the end of the movie? And then everything resolves and they saunter off into the proverbial sunset?
What I want to ask is, “What about tomorrow?”
I mean, I have crazy awesome epiphanies on a regular basis, like understanding the quasi-mystical, magical potential powers of Twitter.
Posting will be strong for a week, but then something will happen, and then the real question arises. Will there be a return to commitment? or a slide into bad non-posting habits?
Ditto with blogging. I think we’ve finally made it out of the strong gravitational force field of slacking here. Will we be able to establish Twitter posting as a “given” also? Tune in next week for an exciting update on that front…
