The “P.S. - My Office is a Mess!” Contest

Do you spend more time fighting for space on your own desk than you spend getting things done? Is it so hard to find things that you are putting off projects (or forgetting about them) just because you don’t know where you last left them?

In other words, is your office a chronic mess? Do things seem to pile up no matter what you try? And do you want the cycle to end?

If you’re nodding your head, then Project Simplify’s “P.S. - My Office is a Mess!” Contest may be just what you need. Simply send us a picture of your office, desk, or whatever perpetually-messy area is confounding your business. If you want, you can also tell us about it, and explain what you’ve tried in the past, or why your situation requires expert intervention.

Each month, Head Simplifier Shawn Tuttle will choose one entry as “Best Mess” (?), and that contestant will receive a free personal remote consultation from Shawn!

The free consultation will consist of the following:

  • Shawn will ask the contestant for extra specific details about the messy area in question, and the resources and materials available towork with. She’ll also request more photos if necessary.
  • Shawn will then sketch out a suggested approach to resolving the major problems at hand, including specific recommendations for materials or products that may be needed.
  • Shawn will then spend up to one hour in a telephone consultation, explaining the approach and answering whatever questions the winner may have.
  • The solution for each month’s winner will also be posted here at our web site, along with any “after” photos that winners send us.

That’s pretty much it! The fine print is below. If you’re ready to enter, proceed to our entry page.

    The fine print:

  • All submitted material, including photos, stories, and other items, may be used by Project Simplify on our website or in other formats, with the exception of personally-identifying information. Please DO NOT include personal details or identifiers in your photos or stories if you do not want others to see them.
  • Contestants will be referred to by first name, last initial, and city or town (i.e., “Shawn T., Nevada City, CA”), unless they specify otherwise on their entry form. We will need to use at least initials to refer to entrants, but you may provide “pseudo-initials” if you like.
  • The free consultation (prize) will take place within the 30 days following the announcement of the winner, if the winner’s schedule allows. Otherwise, the prize can be redeemed anytime in the following six months, at the scheduling discretion of Project Simplify.
