Where is that file?

How many times have you picked up a printed page (that you created) and had no idea where it is on your computer? If more than once, here is a handy trick to keep tabs on your files.

In the footer of a Word document or Excel Spreadsheet, you can add “auto text”, meaning, whenever you print out the page, it will always add this text.

The cool thing is that it can be dynamic. So if you enter in auto text for the date, it will always print today’s date. If you enter auto text for the filepath, even if you change the location of the file, it will print out the current filepath.
