Appointment changes
It’s Monday morning, I’m working in my home office. I’m keeping an eye on the clock because I want to leave early enough to be on time for my 11:15 a.m. appointment.
Around 9:45 a.m. I receive an email from the 11:15 a.m. appointment asking to reschedule.
I work outside of my office on a fairly regular basis so I was grateful that I was online to get her email on such short notice. But what if I hadn’t been? I’d have gone to our meeting place.
Did she have my cell phone number? Of course! It’s in my email signature.
General rule of thumb: if you need to make an appointment change less than 24 hours out, call rather than email. Or, if there is a chunk of info that is easier to relay by email, give them a call and let them know to check their inbox.
