Treo 755p does, in fact, HotSync via bluetooth

Whoa-nelly! I publicly articulated thebad assumption that Verizon had disabled bluetooth hotsyncing capability. I read or heard it somewhere and took it to be true. Someone of the me-myself-and-I crowd is just plain ready to make them the “bad guys”.

Today when I started looking around for some kind of work-around, I found nothing (probably b/c it’s quite easy?!). But something I read along the way triggered something in the old noggin and I gave it a shot (pairing the second brain (laptop) to third brain (phone)). It didn’t work at first, then I remembered I had to go into the HotSync manager and select a different conduit.

IT WORKS!!

Like I said, my bad. Apology to Verizon.

    1. […] Verizon disabled bluetooth connectivity for sync-ing to my Mac. I resent having to carry around a cable, and I don’t want another cable hanging around my desk. Bad call, Verizon. [2/26/08 update - Yes it does!] […]
