    4. Project Simplify Says So

Here are Shawn’s hand-picked selections from the Project Simplify blog:

    Getting back to the foundation
”’Foundation first’ isn’t a one time, never think about it again kind of thing. Us silly humans like to forget some of the brilliant systems we’ve set up to help us stay sane, productive, and (gasp!) make dreams happen. [...] Your life is too valuable to squander away cleaning the kitchen. (Not that I’m saying don’t clean your kitchen, really now, that could get gross. I’m just saying, don’t let it be a substitution for work toward your goals.)” (more)

Unwanted phone calls and junk faxes
”Not only do unwanted calls from telemarketers take your time and interrupt your groove, they can be a source of frustration if you feel helpless to deal with them. Here are some resources to get in control of your phone lines.” (more)

    17 Simplification Rules
”Rules. We rebel against them. We benefit from them. Maybe they could be called ‘gems’, but the sense I get from folks is that they want it spelled out and quickly. So Rules it is…and here they be.” (more)

    5. Lifestyles of the Natural & Professional

    Introduced by Shawn Tuttle

This section provides an update on the Natural Professional, a Project Simplify adventure.

Handbook Table of Contents and New Logo

    The NP Handbook TOC
Rather than introduce this with the merits of simplifying large quantities of info into an abbreviated format, let’s cut to the chase: The working draft of the handbook’s table of contents has been posted at the NaturalProfessional.com blog.

It’s broken up into three sections:

    • Reclaim Your Life
    • Align Your Habits with Success, and
    • Bathe in Bliss.

Reclaiming Your Life deals with getting back in control over how you spend your time and energy. Aligning Your Habits roots your daily actions in practical, sustainable habits. Lest we fall into the mindless productivity trap, Bathing in Bliss weaves in the heart-based awareness that helps you remain aware of your greater purpose.

Constructive feedback is welcome and appreciated in the comments section. It’s exciting to finally put this out into the world – please let me know what you think!

    The Logo
The hand-drawn style logo has been updated to include our fearless natural professional, soon after a successful briefcase spearing. Not that I have anything against briefcases…well actually, I do, but mostly I just wanted to show her living large and in control. :)

You might wonder what’s with the stick figures? Well, what’s simpler than a stick figure, right? And isn’t it common to yearn for “simpler times”? Well, the Natural Professional is all about reconnecting with the essence, and finding those “simpler times” right now. So our characters, primitive though they may seem, are merrily finding their way in the modern world—and hopefully inspiring you to do the same.

More adventures of our cave-art compatriots are literally on the drawing board as I write this, so if you like our heroine and her pals, fear not…more friends are on their way!

    6. The Not-So-Simple Life

    by Lance Brown

    The World’s Largest To-Do List

Can this strange beast frm the future save our planet from sure destruction?

My approach to life planning has long been to choose outrageously-huge goals which, when pursued, would create hundreds of challenging and interesting sub-goals, most of which would be enjoyable and satisfying on their own.

That way, whether or not I become president or start a band or become a famous author and filmmaker and actor or create a new educational system or bring back the drive-in or become a billionaire or run a marathon or yes, even write a Broadway musical, I would have a good time and learn a lot on my way there. And even if I never reached the pinnacles of my three dozen careers, I would get a lot of cool things done.

And it’s working! ("Finally," he muttered under his breath.) Not only that, but it looks like I may even reach one or two of the actual end-goals someday. Huzzah! But there’s this one little huge tiny giant problem: I have the World’s Largest To-Do List.

I’m not currently allowed to tell you that it’s…
